Black Panther Party
Hip-hop music is derived from the Black Panther Program. Many of the first rappers such as the Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac, and the Sugarhill Gang produced music inspired by the fundamental values of the Black Panther Party. These artists grew up in impoverished communities and attempted to combat the degrading effects of racism on self-esteem. The rights that this party fought brought together different minority groups, including gangs such as the Bloods and the Crips to sign this code of ethics.
